CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Laura is skilled at supporting children with diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, BPD, OCD, and kids adjusting to general life ups and downs. When working with families or children, Laura partners with parents and caregivers to approach the treatment as a team. Laura supports families to identify and overcome patterns that no longer serve them, nurture individual family members’ strengths, reduce tension, and build strong connections that feel authentic to each unique family. Laura regularly works with kids with big feelings and challenging behaviors.
ADULTS
Laura often supports adult clients who struggle with feeling broken, anxious, disconnected from others, and self-critical, and who have likely seen these feelings appear throughout their lives. Laura supports clients to shed old patterns that no longer serve them, break free of limiting cycles, find fulfillment in relationships, and to move forward toward their goals.
Her approach is warm, relational, and insight-oriented. Laura combines psychodynamic therapy with anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care that acknowledges the whole client and the many family dynamics and societal factors affecting each individual. Utilizing art in therapy allows for deeper processing beyond just spoken language. Laura is skilled at supporting adults with diagnoses and concerns such as: ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, OCD, complex PTSD, BPD, and parenting support. Laura is trained in ERP for OCD treatment.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys analog photography, writing, and going to the park with her rescue dog.
