Jordyn Staar, MA, ATR-BC, LPC
Jordyn Staar, MA, ATR-BC, LPC (she/her) is a Registered, Board-Certified art therapist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a Master's degree in Art therapy and Counseling from Drexel University. Jordyn has worked in various settings, helping children, teenagers, and adults process and work through emotions, trauma, and everyday life.

Jordyn believes in meeting clients where they are, validating and empowering clients to explore themselves through a process of art-making and dialogue to explore present concerns while making connections to past experiences. Together, Jordyn and her clients use the art-making process to provide insight, foster confidence, express themselves, develop a way of communicating, and strengthen their coping and problem-solving skills. Jordyn understands the importance of fostering a healthy therapeutic relationship and holding a safe space for clients to feel encouraged to develop their own voices and explore vulnerable topics. Jordyn collaborates with her clients and supports them in working towards their goals, both in and outside of therapy.
Jordyn’s continuing education courses have centered around trauma, motivational interviewing, racial/cultural competence, and topics relevant to her clients’ experiences such as body image and anxiety.
